29/23@ fl100 = approx 160-162kts tas.
mine has the Aerodyme gimmick as well as tks (which costs about 7kts)
All in all I am on poh speeds.
Toss in the 320bhp jetfueled turbodiesel and you will be looking at 200kts at 12 gph

Never really had climb problems .. Also not when heavy.
I had the flapgapseals and Aerodymes speed kit installed and the aircraft rerigged all at the same time. So cannot say what contributed to what .. But I can do the booknumbers .. Except for fuel flow. Considering...

I have had my tc for over 350 hours now and went through a lot of "lessons" but now she is superduper!

I will be in Manhattan 11&12 july and would like to rent an aircraft (with an fi knowledgeable of the area) to fly a scenic tour around NY. Has anybody ever done this or have tips for this?

We need 300bhp+ turbocharged, turbonormalised or supercharged .. Preferably on jet a.
Rolls would be a great option but 1-2m range is not realistic..
Eps is to heavy and nowhere near certification?
Sma or continental is the best bet I presume.

You are absolutely right to say that Cessna is digging it and that the sma230 version 2 is a serious engine. In fact it would qualify easily for a 114 and 114b as with dieselengines they state you may run continuous at 100% .. But eve if you reduce to 85-90% you are still...

The rolls sure is a nice option.. But would also cost 250.000.. You would not havea great range with 25-30 gph ..
With a 300+ bhp jetfuel engine .. You would be back in the 12gph or less range .. But now you would fly 200kts

all you need is a turbocharged or supercharged 300+ BHP engine...
A Supercommander with extra breath
or
A good diesel engine from SMA or Continental with 300+ BHP should do the trick
For futuresake the latter will be the very best solution!
