    Hudson River Corridor Flight

Re: Hudson River Corridor Flight Fly the Skyline route in the Class B. Plenty low enough for sightseeing. Above the tourist helos. You'll be more relaxed and so will ATC. They really would rather be talking to you.

    French Lick Insights

Re: French Lick Insights We had the ultimate benign/boring flight home. 2:45 at 11.5 to Penn St, lunch with our daughter, then 0:45 at 7.5 home. VFR all the way. Did get to park right next to 2 Navy F-18's at KUNV that were still there from the flyover before the Penn St/Navy game.

    Ny vfr

Re: Ny vfr I have flown the Hudson river many times, but have never flown in the SRFA and never would. You should fly the Skyline route, which is in the bottom of the Class B. The SRFA is full of helo traffic and is all self-announce. I would be happy you go with you when you are here.

    Clean 100 Octane Coalition Updates

Re: Clean 100 Octane Coalition Updates Exxon-Mobil does not manufacture 100LL. Pulling out for them means not having an Exxon sign over the pump. Meaningless. That article went on to say that aviation engines must be broken in with 100LL but can then be switched to autogas. If broken in on...

    VOTE: Fly-IN this Saturday 11-5

Re: VOTE: Fly-IN this Saturday 11-5 Never was crazier than the night ND game this year. It will be crazy for OSU too, just to many years of frustration ready to explode.

    2011 Sedona Fly-In News

Re: 2011 Sedona Fly-In News Having these during football season is really tough for me. Dick Rutan is a great guest, I would have loved to attend this year. Even the distance isn't so bad, but we just bought a lake house outside of Ann Arbor and the SDSU game (intrigue with Brady Hoke being...

    My Almost-200 knot Commander

Re: My Almost-200 knot Commander I didn't take a picture, but I had 220 kts GS one trip back from MI. I had 420 kts GS in the other one coming back from FL in Oct. Not enough to join the 500 mph club yet.

    2010 cog fly-in location

Re: 2010 cog fly-in location I'll put my last 2 cents in. Sleeping next to the planes isn't high on my list. Having something interesting in the area to do for guests is. I don't care if it's a fun city (ATL), a fun college town (AHN, CEU, AUO, have to make sure it's an AWAY weekend), a fun...
