The only rules I'm aware of is a max altitude of 400' AGL and outside a certain distance from airports. I've never reported the ones I've seen exceeding 400' AGL because, like you, I'm not aware of how to do that...had I been talking to an ATC facility I would have informed them but I don't use...

I've seen them almost co-altitude with me at 2000' in the Tampa area! Closest I've been to one was about 1/8th nm. Eventually one is going to hit something and cause serious damage/loss of life. Can't figure out why they aren't required to be geofenced to 400' AGL. Mike

Flew B-52s out of Barksdale AFB from 95 - 03. Our "backyard" low level route was IR-178. It started just southeast of El Paso and ran along the Rio Grande into Big Bend Park then headed north, then back west around Ft. Stockton. It was miserable flying that route in the summer!! Bumpy and HOT...

Makes sense in reference to the Stratus/iPad not showing any signal loss. My 530 was only losing 3D Nav for a second or two....but it was happening continuously (about every 10-15 seconds) for the last 10 mins in to Cross City. Headed back to KVDF an hour or so later, it was fine. Mike

I hadn't thought about that option. 2 x G5 isn't an option since the G5 in ADI mode will not drive my AP. At this point, my options are a KI-300 ADI and G5 HSI or an Aspen E5-to-Pro (analog HSI ditched)-to-Max (if I decided to go that far). I'll have to take a close look at my panel this weekend...
