  • I noticed in your recent thread that you mentioned that you have fuel leaks from the screws on the inspection plates. I found this product actually from an earlier post which I used when I had that problem.
In my opinion, easier cheaper than proseal. You just put some of the stuff on the threads of the screw after removing it and screw it back in. Worked great for me.

Yup. That’s my plan. PRC on the threads. Thx for validating it will work
Hello, thank you for getting back to me. I will let you know if I can make it out there. I'm a little tied up with doctors at the moment. I was also looking at the 112TC but I think that is more than I would need for a plane. I don't travel far usually or high up. If you could tell me your useful load I would appreciate it, although I believe the TC has a higher useful than the "A". Thanks again and I like your videos!

    hey.

112TC - Empty Weight about 1900 Lbs. Mine is 1950. Max Gross : 2850. Gives me 950 lbs of useful load.

Its not about high up. On a high density day, it will give you 100 % power - 210 HP. A normally aspirated airplane will not. The cruise speeds are also higher.

But yes - it is more airplane than the 112/A/B. The engine parts are also more expensive.

But much cheaper than the 114TC. So its a decent compromise.
    Alim,

Do you know where the annual fly-in will be in 2023?

I did not want to put this on the site publicly - just came across the attached - you would not be the first to use the PC5000

ty. Am currently in Europe - so not actively on the site for a few days. Thx for posting. Looks like a viable option to pursue. I'll get up in the air with the woodward for now - but will pursue this after if warranted. Meanwhile they've mounted the engine ..
He is in You're part of the country. I'd love to get my hands on a new top cowl which is why I checked where his area code was based. Doesn't make much sense for me but might be a good deal for you.
I believe the pork chop doors started with the TCA - unless they were added by the owner at some point.
Noticed you were from Allentown. Is that where Theil College is.

Hey. No i believe thats near Pittsburg. Allentown PA is eastern PA, north of Philadelphia
    Moazzam,

I’m very close to buying a 114 that will be based at KBTP or KPJC. Being at Palmer, I wondered who does the maintenance on your plane?

hi, My Mx is done at CDW (NJ) by C&W Aero. They've maintained the airplane since 2000. In 20 yrs i've had 1 annual each done in Florida, Puerto Rico (San Juan) and the Commander Factory at Cape Girard. I've had 17 annuals done by C&W. We understand the plane well there. It may not be close enough for you though.
I know you don’t suspect it, but next time you get a delay (in vfr of course) reach over and give that 5 amp breaker a tap. I’ve had it happen to me. The breaker doesn’t pop, it just doesn’t make good connection. It was the flush type, not pull able.

    ok - will do ..
Did you end up upgrading your control wheel/yoke to the Cygnet? I am toying with the idea, but, would like to have an idea of the cost and effort. I have trim, auotpilot disco, PTT on the pilot's side and PTT on co-pilot side. I don't know what your config is - if you updated.

There is a company in San Antonio who can leather wrap them - but - the cost is up there - so just thinking new.... or Power coat what I have.

    thoughts?

i did do cygnet. Not cheap. The yoke pair i recall came to ~$1300 each with : PTT , Autopilot Disconnect, Trim. So about $2700 for those. In addition you will need adapters - these will have to be manufactured - i reverse engineered mine from our yoke dimensions. They weren't cheap to make - about $500 ea x 2. So this was about a $4K project all done. vs - you can leather wrap pre-existing yokes for a few hundred. I may have spare yokes to sell if thats the route you take. If i were to do it again - i would do cygnet again. I helped one other board member do his. So when i made my adapters, i got 4 done instead of 2. No one else on the board wanted them.

Good Evening Moazzam!I had been following the conversation on MP and RPM OEM or JPI string of information. I saw your images and videos. Had no clue that the JPI with the plane off should register something close to the field Baro. Attaching some images for your thoughts or guidance, at the time, field pressure was 29.96, pressure altitude was 1600, density altitude was 4000. Images of our EDM 830, MP gauge and the calibration chart from our 830 manual. Question, close enough??? Thank you.
    alim
    alim
hi. JPI and field baro within 1% close enough - what is the field elevation ?

The analog gage appears to be on the low side for that baro reading.

I would take 3 readings on 3 different days to see if your analog MAP gauge needs a calibration.
In my case my analog and JPI930 have identical readings

In August, I sold my 1978 Arrow III. Now, I am contemplating buying a 1976 112TC with 1400 SFOH. If you are willing to chat with me about the 112TC, please send me a phone or call me at 503 851-1877, Salem, Oregon.

    Thank you.

Can I talk to you about set on the EDM830? My number is (843)576-9119. I want some help with the HP constant and the K factor flights.
