  • I've noticed a slight shimmy on landings. So I ordered a complete Torque scissor link rebuild kit from General Aviation and a Shimmy Damper Kit.

My question is what is best method to remove old bushings part 53 AA-401-3 out of the Body and Collar Assembly? I've noticed guys using tap/bolt method to remove bushings from parts that are removable from aircraft... But not the Collar Assembly!!!

Do you have a recommended method? Thanks for your help.

Like it a lot!, Too easy, get to pull the flasher box from behind the battery - simple splice the wires together from the flasher to power the bulb.

Bait for the Boo Birds, not PMA'd but its a blub! that works with little amp draw.

Now if could just find a strobe LED replacement . . .

Hey! More important, you guys do okay with the Weather last night?? We lost power for a few hours and loose piece of siding . . .

    Thank You Sir,

Poor gal is about 'tested out' No way she can climb and sat in the Commander these days. Something going on in the lilac area. Dr's says its 'repairable' . . .

    Thanks again,
    John
    John,
Can you send me James Bradley's contact information. He is close and I am familiar with the Dothan area.

Yes Sir, 334 268 0195 James Bradley, goes by 'Bradley'.

Easy going treats me right. (don't be bashful about negotiating a quote from him) (one of those, 'is that the best you can do?' . . .)
He good about being on time and no surprises on the final invoice)

    Good luck,
    John

Hey we fly over to see Ken Andrews at 16J (Dawson) each 3rd Sat for an EAA Breakfast, tomorrow . ..
    Hi John

It was great meeting you at the FNL Fly-In. I enjoyed talking with you about UA football and dual magnetos. Safe flying and hope to see you soon. As I mentioned I will be down in AL on Sept 30 for the Ole Miss game. Whoo-Hoo and Roll Tide, behind the Buckeyes of course. Brett
    Hi John,

Sorry, I am still finding my way around this site and just now found your message.

I have made several trips to Rucker over the past few years to talk to pilots about flight profiles. Interesting place!

I don't currently own an aircraft. I had a 172 for 8 years and sold it 3 years ago. I'm looking for something that can actually carry 4 people and am interested in a 114 commander. (my other choice would be a 182, but I am leaning toward the commander)

I joined this group to read what others think about "Commander ownership" and how easy/difficult it may be to get parts.

    Thanks for the introduction!

    Terry
Hey John, I might be flying down that way "0J6" on Sat. A Bonanza guy is bringing his plane up here for work and I am taking him home. Thought I might stop by if your at the airport.
Hi John, I checked my oxygen level at 8500' after two hours-it was 92-93 percent!
Was I surprised! Ann's was 95, but she spends 30-40 minutes a day on her treadmill.
It was great to see you and Connie again, and Ann enjoyed meeting everyone! I hope we can get together again soon.
    Yes
The plane was totaled after the nose gear locked up full left.
It has been rough. I have looked at several Commandes but i have been very picky
The right one will come along
