  • 4-27-2020, today I looked at fuel prices on my FlyQ map and I noticed that your field has the best price around, again! I have a flight plan programmed in for the French Lick fall fly-in and my flight path goes right by you. I would have to stop in if I were to go by...at least to say hello. We have fuel at just over $3 a gallon close to my home field. I think that’s pretty good but your FBO has ours beat . It’s still $4.49 at my field at the self serve pumps and $5.29 if they bring the truck to my hangar. Enjoy the low prices while you can!
I hope you are staying well.

Yep, just went flying yesterday. A Bonanza guy came by to visit. He’s planning an annual at the local shop. We did some formation flying afterwards. I hope to make it to French Lick this Fall. Time off is easy to come by lately.
When you say the 390 cost a bit, what are we looking at?

The engine was about $44k, prop about $13k. I had a lot of ancillary work done on top of it, with a new engine monitor, fresh annual. I didn’t add up every dollar. I don’t have many problems now. Truth be known, had I mapped out the road better ahead of time, may of went in a different direction. My annual this year was very clean, two commented on the ‘excellent work’ from Aerodyme. Anyhow, fly about once a week with longer flights sprinkled in. Joe
Hi Will. Saw your note about being from the UP. or maybe Northern WI right by the UP? where are you from? Just curious. I fly up there a lot for Wings of Mercy and I have a cousin in Mercer, near Manatowish Airport, get in there once a year or so. My email is scott@truen.com. Thanks, Scott Sedam, N4843W Detroit Willow Run
I am new to COG, closing on a 112 next week. Do you know of any instructors in WI that have at least 25hrs in AC11? My insurance is only requiring a checkout, but they want the instructor to meet the OPW of the policy. I am based at KMFI. Thanks!

Got an airplane yet? ANN and I are going to Paris Oct 21st to 31st. She is celebrating
finishing chemo and radiation. Maybe we could do a lunch after that.
Joe, do you have any interest in flying out to
Ft Collins with me? Ann's Dr. recommend she not spend
time at higher altitudes for a while, so I might go alone.
I have no definite plans yet.
Hi Joe, in response to your inquiry, Ann and I plan to leave Mpls. On the previous Saturday
and stop in Nashville for a few days( sightseeing). We hope to arrive at Pine MTN on Wednesday. I noticed your posts on the forum, but presumed that our stop in Nashville
would prevent us from flying down with you. I hope to see you there! We are planning on leaving Sunday am to come home-maybe we can group up for the flight home.
As of right now, I am not current on IFR so I'll be VFR.
