  • I was looking at that. Was wondering why the low exterior grade? hard to tell in photos. Is it just old tired original paint? Looked like maybe some hanger rash on the left tip? BTW I was like "heck ya check out the nose art" My wife was like "uh, no, that's the first thing coming off ! "... I told her "I was planning to paint the hair brunette to represent her..." That got the second oh he$$ no look... I am guessing it is a unit patch, hard to see in pic?

Anyway working with banker this week on financing and approval, should be pre approved so the real search can rock on.

Sorry for the late response, just got notified...a week later, that you sent it! Paint is just a bit faded, thats only reason for the low grade, no hangar rash. The nose art is the 1960s version of "SAC Time" taken and updated from the B-17G nose art for "Sack Time." I thought it was bad luck to fly a plane with no nose art. 50BG is off the market and at her new home in Utah. Took longer than I thought to get it sold. Good luck on finding a Commander. They are GREAT airplanes and I hated to sell her but the maintenance situation in my part of Florida makes it untenable to own an aircraft unless you're a licensed A&P and can do the work yourself. Takes 30+ days to get in to a shop and when its in the shop the work is SLOW! I was down all last summer for a dead hydraulic pack. I had that one overhauled in 2016 (they only last 8-10 years) and I got her in a shop, fixed and out in under 2 WEEKS! Just couldn't take it any longer!
Hi Mike, you wouldn't happen to have any contact info for Kirk that previously owned the Commander I'm getting ready to purchase(N1394J).

Any help you could give me would be great...thanks.....Kevin
