Chesapeake City MD for lunch

Mary and I were trying to find something to do on Saturday since the weather was perfect. We gave some thought to a road trip but my bride was a no-go since it was the Labor Day weekend. Hmmm…. We have a plane, let’s fly somewhere!

We decided to visit the Delaware Veterans cemetery and bring flowers and a new flag to her Mom and Dads grave. It’s less then an hour flight and the folks at the terminal have a courtesy car/van.

Thanks for sharing Gary! Last time I flew into Summit, I almost could not get back to my plane. The gate lock was broken, and nobody was on the field, but luckily I had a phone number, and an hour later some guy showed up to let me onto the field to leave.

The place is really slow, it seems they are trying to phase out GA. At least the staff is really nice and accommodating. I was told 100LL sales are way down and they only order half a truck when needed.

Thankfully someone eventually came back to give you access. The area has really changed, there is a new school across the street and houses everywhere. I hope the place doesn’t get squeezed out of existence.
