Heya!

I am a new member from Europe happy to join the gang - still without a Commander - after hearing a lot of positive things about the owner group. As a side note - English is not my first language so please either excuse my mistakes or correct me:)

How did I end up here?
A good year ago I made the decision to take the adventure road "aircraft ownership" and was starting to set things up and start the approval process with my private decision making board aka my wife. Months went by, numerous calculations were made but finally I got the approval from the board :) .

As soon as I started flying (2004) the Commander models always had a special place in my heart because yeah, I mean look at them! Sit in them! No more to explain :)
I am over 190cm (6′ 2) and never felt more comfy in a private aircraft´s pilot seat than in a commander.

What am I looking for?
A nice 112B -HotShot, or a 112TC or a 112TCA
EASA registry

Looking forward to dig even deeper into the vast knowledge here

Welcome - where are you in Europe?
There are a number of Commander's spread around out there.
 
Michael, you speak English better than most people I work with every day.

Of course, those from Great Britain would say that we don't speak English in Texas anyway.

Good luck in your search. You will get some great advice here. And, you are correct - the Commander is a great airplane to own and fly.

Martin in Switzerland is probably the closest one to you but he hasn't been on the site much lately.

I'm based in Switzerland and flying a 112A. I sent you a PN with my phone/email and do not hesitate contacting me if you have any question. However, I also planning to fly once this year to Austria and we may meet.

I can also make you the contact to Martin. Martin owns a Turbo.

I know, that a Commander is for sale in Switzerland (N-Registery). However, he had to make a safety landing because of an engine problem. There, the engine must be changed and he said there is something to be replaced at the gear. Some investments must be done... and it is a 112A (Pre-Report from Swiss Transportation Safety Investigation Board STSB / and pictures).
