File Size Upload Error for Pictures - Exceeded 2MB

Am I doing something wrong or is there a better format for pictures? Simple pictures akin with the phone can’t be uploaded because of a file size error.
 
Pix, for those large pix's a technique I use is the 'snipping tool'. Bring up your original shot on the monitor - open the snipping tool - crop exactly what you want or the entire thing. Save to desktop rename then upload. Uses a substantial less space that way . . .[/I]

This is a great tip. To resize photos for uploading, I use a photo editing program (Olympus Master) that I've had for years. I was unaware about how the snipping tool could resize. Very good to know, as it looks faster than using Olympus Master.
 
If you have a PC it comes with paint. Open the picture with it and click on resize. You don't have to crop and loose any of the picture. If the file is 4 meg, you can resize to 25%, save and the file will be less then 1 meg usually.
