Greetings!

David Matthews here -- a somewhat new enthusiast interested in learning more about this exciting line of aircraft. Not an owner (yet), but very much appreciate the "guest" account and the opportunity to learn more from this experienced group.

Re: YAI (Yet Another Introduction)

David. First, love you and the band. Anything new coming out?

Second, let us know where you live. It will be very easy to get you linked up with a couple of Commander owners who will show you around the plane, take you up, let you fly. It's what we do.

You have come to the right place!

Re: YAI (Yet Another Introduction)

Dave,

I'm based out of Enterprise but we come up a couple times a month to Pell City.
I'll let you know next time we head up that way and give you a tour of a 114.
Todd Hardin has a TC in Gadsden as well.
Per any questions,
John

Re: YAI (Yet Another Introduction)

Great to hear back from everyone, and yes, my name follows me a bit!

I've said "Dave Matthews is my 2nd cousin" enough that it sounds natural and many will at least respond (after a pause and stare) with "Really?". Have gotten email for him, and apparently I rock when in North Carolina...

But back to airplane things -- I'm in North Alabama; Hazel Green to be exact. Actually the community is Toney, but Hazel Green is literally across the road and I think it sounds better. Maybe it's because the airport is called Hazel Green?

Re: YAI (Yet Another Introduction)

Welcome, when thinking about a plane, the expected 'mission' with planned use is a main consideration. Spring is a great time of year to be thinking about flying.

Re: YAI (Yet Another Introduction)

Hey David,

I am a new member and looking into the possibility of becoming a Commander owner as well. I live in Huntsville, just down the road from you!

I currently plan to base whatever plane I end up with at KMDQ (Meridianville). If that's convenient for you I may be interested at looking into a partnership.

Either way, good luck with your research!

Terry

Hello Terry -- wow, you are close! I'm based at M38 (Hazel Green).

Not sure where the aircraft search will land; just getting started...
