The Colorado Pilots Association just put out their schedule of fly-ins for 2017. While there are more than a couple of them I am going to try to get to - there are two that I thought others on here might be interested in and we could meet up.

March 3-5 - Cactus Fly-in - KCGZ - Casa Grande, AZ - south of Phoenix

May 20-21 - Sedona Fly-in - KSEZ - Sedona, AZ

I am contemplating using these as an excuse to head farther west. I'd depart the fly-in and head to Napa, CA. My thinking is the Bank of Dean won't connect the fuel receipts if it's part of a fly-in that's budgeted and then 1/2 the trip to see my sister in Napa is paid for LOL.

But - it'd be great to see some of our Commander brethren who are West or West Coast-ish. I've done one fly-in with the CO Pilot's association (West Yellowstone) and it was a lot of fun - good people, good food, and aviation.

Thoughts anyone?

Dean,

As I told you before, I may be moving your way this year... Coincidentally, I joined the CPA recently ($20!) and would be interested in these fly-ins, schedule permitting. Wife is scheduler!

Let me know your plans; hope to be around then.

Thanks for posting those Dean. I wouldnt mind trying to make it to one of those, especially the Sedona one.

Alan,

Great - CPA is a great value. Let me know if you are going to be in Denver anytime soon. There was hangar at JeffCo (KBJC) in Craigslist FYI.

Let me know if I can help with anything on this end.

Tim - I will keep this board in the loop.... and we will see if we can get some Commanders on the ramp!

Dean,
Let us know if you get near CCR. We have at least 5 Commanders here. At Napa APC there is a restaurant on the ramp and another hidden in the nearby Industrial Park. Also, Pradeep is the Manager at the FBO, Napa Jet Center. Really a neat and accommodating gent (from India). Let him know that you one of "us." He will probably give you a complementary bottle of wine.

John,

You will be hearing from me! I've driven around CCR waiting on my sister to be done with stuff at work - and saw a Commander on the ramp out side. Glad to hear there's a few! I looked at Sonoma airports versus Napa and thinking that Napa is where I should tie down. My sister is in Napa, they have better runways, a nice big valley to climb up in, etc...

Will give you a heads up when I make the jaunt :-)
