Trip planning from TN (KSNH), MT (KRED), OR (KSLE)

What did you do with the "P" leads to fix it?

Mike, I'm not sure what The IA did; however, it sounded like it was a shielding issue. I could be wrong, I will ask him.

My memory is a little hazy, but the shield on the p-lead must be properly grounged at the magneto connection. Mine came ungrounded on a long trip to CN northwest and I could not start the engine, so I disconnected them, started and flew home. (Of course, the danger on the ground is a hot prop.) Not sure about how to explain static/noise due to p-lead shield problem.

Thanks, I will take a look.

Well, had the radios looked at and they seem fine, so I am going to put noise filters on the alternator, mags, and possibly an in line filter to the radio. Maybe over kill, but I don't want to order one part, not fix it then order another, and not fix it. I would be at it for several weeks. :)
