I don't want to swamp the web board with photos, but I thought it would be fun to show the flightline this morning. It's only Thursday, and there are already 14 Commanders here.

That's Greg Walker on the phone to the left of the photo. I could hear him saying, "Man, you wouldn't believe how beautiful this is right now".

P.S. -- We're working on a plan to get the little RV out of the way. Photoshop didn't work too well. :)

Re: T82 2013

For everyone unable to attend, keep the photos coming. What a beautiful day. My only question, why are they all on the ground? FLY, FLY, FLY You're right next to $1 avgas.

Took on 61 gallons (tight planning but it was pure VFR) of that buck-a-gallon stuff last evening at KHYI San Marcos before arriving T82. I got there at 18:45 and was #3 for fuel, but but have 2 trucks and getting a 3rd for the weekend. All from the truck, no SS. When I left about 8:00 (had dinner with my son) there were still people coming in. The girl told me they were lined up 3-deep several times during the day. When I left they had fueled 120 planes. Fueling 7 AM to 10 PM. You do not need to pre-register, but if you do it might save time. If you are going, I would get it done Friday, earlier the better. If Saturday or Sunday, make it early. I think there is the potential for an hour or more wait on the weekend.

Re: T82 2013

I'll miss you guys ... have a great time!

Re: T82 2013

Here is the Friday morning update: 22 Commanders are now at T82. A little overcast this morning, so some morning flights have been postponed or cancelled. The weather is forecast to clear later this morning, so it should be another beautiful day in Texas. Y'all come visit. :)

Oh, and you'll notice that the RV has moved.

Sure had a great time and hate that we have to wait another year. My liver is glad its another year away though. Thanks David and Mary Beth for a great job putting the event together and the board memebers for a first class org. Hope every one makes it home safe and sound. Re: T82 2013

Now that was a blast indeed. I learned a lot about these fine machines from the best, owners flown for many decades. I wish I would have caught wind of the fly by fun I would have love to joined I have some formation experience. I did however catch the whole thing on high resolution HD video at 120 frames a second from the Hotel deck will be posting that later. I had a nice run to Colorado for our first leg home. We are in a Hotel in Pueblo CO. The center of the high pressure system. A full tank of 02 we will cross the rocks at hotshot altitude in the AM.
Ken? You had a nasty storm in your path where are you?

Re: T82 2013

Got back to Arizona fighting head winds until we got 50 miles west of T82..the rest of the trip we were doing 150 kts ground speed. Stopped for the $1.00 fuel and was 2nd in line with no waiting. Cost was $51. Total time was 12.39 hrs roundtrip from Prescott. Enjoyed meeting everyone! I will vote fore Florida with a side trip to the keys..Keep the pictures coming!

Re: T82 2013

I had an easy flight home on JetBlue. A tremendous "THANK YOU!" to David and Mary Beth for putting together a terrific event. It was great seeing old friends again, and meeting new ones too. Looking forward (as always) to next year.
