Any other Commander owners headed to Sun N Fun this year? We plan on arriving Thursday and camping thru Sunday.

We'll be there but unfortunately in the RV! I'll look you up! Sent from my SM-G781U using Tapatalk

I'll be there, not sure if I'll fly in yet, Its only a 1 hour drive from my home...

I plan on going, but I will be new to camping with the Commander. I have the station wagon mod but do not have it all figured out yet, will take a tent as well but looking for advice from others that do it often. I flew in there a couple of years ago for the day, it was great. Thinking about the tent to stretch out, but then sleeping in the Commander if weather is bad. I have not figured out how to close the cargo door from the inside. I know, I could climb over the seats. I am no spring chicken.

Life is a barrel of fun.

I’m planning on RVing it too. This will be my first time to Sun-n-Fun.

Hey everyone Chuck of N1049J I will be flying and taking my RV and it would be great to get a email list going so we could gather around a campfire!

Email or phone text what do you think!

Flying and RV! That's the best of both worlds. I'm much better with text. We are volunteering and will be there sat to sat. Mike W 954-465-7857 N114KL Sent from my SM-G781U using Tapatalk

I'll be flying down from SE Ohio ....Assuming weather cooperates! I'm involved in the Skyleader USA Light Sport Business so I'm definitely coming!!!!

Hi All,

I am thinking about taking off from here at the farm and then landing back here and practicing camping here at home. Sounds kind of silly to camp outside of my house. I need to prepare for Sun N Fun.

Any of your heading South my place would be a good stopping off point to practice camping, I have loads of room for camping and a shower at the pool for those folks that want to be Ultra Clean.

I am not as agile as I used to be, my tent and sleeping bag has not been unrolled in twenty years. And I have still not figured out how to close the cargo door from the inside.

Life is a barrel of fun.

A bungee cord won’t keep a grizzly bear out…something to consider when you’re camping

Hi Rolf. I’ve been in FL now for 1.5 years KPIE, and I have not seen any Grizzly Bears yet. But the pythons on the other hand are another story and getting closer to Lakeland everyday. Yikes. So no camping for me. Not to mention it is hot as hell with no A/C.

True! But neither will the aluminum skin of your plane. Probably best to keep any yummy smelling food outside the plane when camping in the wilderness!
