My family and I are moving to Tyler, Texas this summer!

The plan is to be back up and running by the September Fly-in.

I'll be able to process orders for MT propellers throughout the transition, and I have a few Landing Light, and Gas Spring kits set aside, but I shut down the products section of the website, so you will need to contact me by phone, if interested.

Re: Relocating

Congrats, you couldn't pick a finer state to move to!

Re: Relocating

Taking Vince with you???:D:D

Re: Relocating

So, you and Walker are going to be neighbors now?

Kinda, he's over on the other side of town, in the high rent district. We're looking at a couple of shacks on the lower east side!

Re: Relocating

Exciting news!! Texas welcomes you!

Re: Relocating

Lots are leaving CA it seems.

Re: Relocating

Carl,
I wish you the best with your move to Texas. Knowing how comprehensive you think, you are I am sure you will enjoy Texas. After living in California for 10 years, we left in the mid 90’s with the mass exodus and it was a good move.:)

Re: Relocating

Hey Carl, Send me a shout when you get relocated. I'm still very interested in doing the Hot Shot conversion when you get settled. I'm still checking on engine prices for mine! Trying to decide if I should do the factory rebuilt, or just build the dang thing myself! The prices are just crazy!

Re: Relocating

Best of luck with the move!!
Tyler is a growing town / city . . .

Re: Relocating

Carl

It will be nice having you close out here. Welcome to Texas!!

Re: Relocating

Safety on your move to Tyler, Texas!!!! Beautiful area!

Re: Relocating

Carl, wherever you & your family are, we will still appreciate you! California flying still 'exotic' for some of us! Neal makes some interesting observations. Except for the Texas -Oklahoma rivalry over which is the Real 'G-ds Country'.
(Lived in Oklahoma '66-'72. Visited Mom 'when she was DOD/USAF Retired 72-'96. )
Loved flying thru/ visiting friends in 'The Big D'. Prefer San Antonio & El Paso.
Oh yeah, Amma-Rilla on Ole Rt 66/I-40. And of course flying MD to OUN in 'My Commander '

Re: Relocating

Dear Neal,

Brilliant post on being a polite Texan. Your description should be the code for all human beings to follow. It will probably take a few more generations though.

All the best,

Pete

Re: Relocating

We're not moving to Texas, we're moving to Tyler. We don't live in California, we live in Santa Margarita. Texas is large and diverse as is California. There's Bakersfield, California, and there's Tahoe, California, there's Corpus Christi, Texas, and there's El Paso, Texas.

Also, it isn't Texas - it's "The Great State of Texas":-)

Most of the people I've talked to that have a negative attitude about Texas have never lived there - one had never even been there.

The people I've met there, so far, have been very kind, polite, and welcoming:-)

"The Great State of Texas," a whole 'nother country! ;)

Re: Relocating

Bill, I think that is an American thing. Americans are just generally nice and helpful .. except around LAX! If you had to work at that airport, you'd be miserable, too!
