Prop questions

Hi Jim,

Here are a few for you:

1. Is it correct that the MT prop is 16 lbs lighter than the Hartzell (on the 112 series)?
2. Have you considered the MT prop as an option for HotShots?
3. Why did you not choose the MT prop for the 580 Super?

Hi Neal,

As follows:

1. The MT is actually 18 lbs lighter (47 vs 65) compared to the HC-E2YR, and 33 lbs lighter (47 vs 80) than the STC E3YR.

3. Delamination reported from the 580 Extra show circuit.

Now 2. I may have most of the necessary approved data already in hand. The question would be acoustics. Robin never had to worry about acouctics but it has become the MAIN game. If a few of you were to gang up on me about an MT for the Shots, I would do the homework and advise.

Wow.. 33lbs lighter than the 3 blader. I wonder how much folks are getting for a three blade prop in good shape? Hrm.. and if that were combined with a certain gross weight increase.. that would be ~133lbs.

Any one else with a hot shot have any interest?
