Oshkosh 2021

Do you know if there is going to be a group of Commanders that are parking at Oshkosh together?
 
Don't recall that being the case, Sean; but ck Oshkosh 2019 thread. I think the guys met for lunch or dinner to talk about it.

I’ll be there, possibly mid-week. I may pick up a relative in the U.P. of MI for the ride in, start from KSAW if that plan is enacted. There were some changes to the Notam, fairly minor as I see it.
 
There is a new arrival starting point farther west than before and new holding procedures around several of the lakes in the area. The Minnesota FAAST team had a webinar on this a couple of weeks ago. Required reading, especially since so many pilots took all of last year off due to COVID-19 protocols.
 
I skimmed through the Notam. It sounds like ATIS will list if one of the further out entry points will be in use, maybe during busier times?
 
Still not sure if I will make it this year, but glad for the new NOTAM. The number of yahoos who blow the NOTAM each trip in just boggles the mind. I would hate to have to fly that by myself on a busy day. Have done it more than 20 times and have always had my oldest son with me, also a pilot.

Hi Sean,
I will be at OSHKOSH from Sunday - Thursday. I'm parking at BASLAR. First time to OSHKOSH...really looking forward to experiencing it. Hope to see others.

Parking at Baslar? That seems very special, must have some pull, or at least an early reservation.

Kyron, I am going to fly into Fond Du Lac and park, I have a rental car and will be at the show on Monday thru Wednesday. I will track your commander down on Monday! I am flying in this Sunday!!
