Are there any Commander owners at Oshkosh? I have been looking at them online and researching - have been interested in a 114. Was hoping to see some planes and talk to owners here. Haven't seen any Commanders let alone a mention that such a plane exists -- been here since Sunday...

When you do see one there will be NO mistaking it. They seem to have glow around them.
You should try and swing a COG fly in. It's like a gathering of Angels when you go out to the ramp first thing in a quiet morning.
Contact Judi about lining you up with an owner in AZ.

N1383J is on Row 538, North 40, behind red shower building. Should be there sporadically thru at least Thursday, possibly Friday. More than willing to answer your questions,based on my ownership experience since 2013, without the glowing angelic commentary.

I just reread my comment about the "blood-letting by Mistress Judi" in the Traditional COG Initiation Ceremony Rights ... It occurs to me now that could be misinterpreted by those new to our group and for that, I apologize. Judi has been a tireless representative for both buyers and sellers, hard-worker, keeper-of-data and energetic promoter of all things Commander for more years that most of us old-folk-members can recall. She is loved, admired and respected in this community, and by no one more than me.

I was envisioning a ceremony around an avgas-fueled fire of piper and cessna parts, all of in a circle chanting "We all go to heaven in the AC11" and other reverent tomes. Then you drink the Kool-Aid and of course, you have to do the blood-brother thing and I just pictured Judi in a hooded robe officiating that! Meant to be all in fun but if you don't know Judi -- and me -- you may have thought there was some other implication.

Judi is the Queen of Commander-Land and always will be.

@Judi: Yes, I am looking at the 114 model. It seems like it may be best for AZ type weather.

My Brother got back from OSH this year and tells me that they are now checking for Food being brought in. Apparently food is now an prohibited item? I had alway been satisfied with the food vendors up until a year or two ago when they changed them. I started bringing In my own Lunch, then had dinner at the Hanger Cafe. I suppose if your camping by your airplane there's nothing they can do, but bringing in lunch is now Vorboten? Thats just wrong.
