Well, As of today I am now a 114 owner! My wife and I closed on N114SG, a 1979 114A after months of shopping. Thanks to everyone in this group that offered advice or information, COG is truly a fantastic resource.

It will be another few weeks before I can take delivery, we are having some maintenance and repairs done after consultation with Savvy during the prebuy, but nothing major.

I'll probably have lots more questions as we move into this experience

It went well. They are very responsive and frendly. It was a challenge for them to find a shop that was both willing and able to do the pre-buy and we were setting up over the holidays, so that resulted in about a 1 week delay. They were very involved with the shop as well. I htink it was money well spent since the aircraft was not local.

I am going to also purchase their AOG consult service for a year as a bridge to building a relationship with a local shop.
 
Thanks for updating your signature. Over time you will find that having the relevant information there is a lot of value When you ask questions people know exactly what model you're flying and where you are. The responses tend to be considerably more correct since there are many differences between the models and years.

We subscribe to Savvy's AOG service. Great peace of mind. We also upload our Insight G3 engine logs to Savvy. A great tool to see the data.
