Colleagues,
Toronto Pearson (CYYZ) is in the Top 10 busiest airports in North America and the largest in Canada. I had heard about folks in GA aircraft being granted access into the airspace these recent weeks to do touch and go's or low and overs at Pearson. Last week I took a day off and upon contact with ATC was denied and told that it had been NOTAM'd off for those kinds of flights so away I went. Wednesday night I was doing an evening/night cross country and my hangar mate is a controller and saw me on their net and texted me to see if I wanted to go in. He set it up down the line and in I went for a low and over of Runway 05, a teardrop and back around the other way before heading home. What a thrill !! Attached is a link to a video if you want a peek. The good stuff starts at 5:00 in the clip. Unfortunately the camera in low light and a low shutter speed shows the panel lighting flashing which it is not.
Flying 22 years and it never gets old
This link in the primary thread does not seem to work and I get an error when I try to remove it. Try the link in the second posting. Takes a few seconds to load.
