Hi COG members. I just joined the group and look forward to communicating with everyone. I just purchased N4637W from another COG member named Vince who many of you probably know. It’s a beautiful bird and I look forward to many adventures. I have been a VFR private pilot the last 2 years and have completely restored a Cherokee 180 that I absolutely love and own. My new 112TCA will be used for my instrument training and cross country adventures. I will be retiring from the Dept of Navy in 2 years and look forward to traveling in the Commander. Thank you all and I look forward to learning from you all.

Hi Kyron and Welcome. I am just up the highway from you in Fullerton. Vince had an envious plane that was admired here by many and had won several shiny awards at our yearly fly-in. Our Fly-in is mid-September this year in the hill country of Texas. Hope you can join us and let us know if you have any questions. Hope to meet you soon.

Welcome aboard. Vince had a fine 112TCA.
Caveat - your beloved Cherokee will get some competition on the feel of the airplane :)

I had >200 hours in an arrow and now can't get myself to fly one after nearly a thousand hours in a 112TC.

Welcome! Were you at KCNO yesterday? I was landing on my way back from Big Bear and thought you departed right before I landed.

Welcome Kyron. You've got a beautiful TCA. I hope it gives you as much enjoyment as I know Vince had with it.

welcome to COG, Kyron.

Judi

Welcome Kyron! You'll have a learning curve transitioning to this airplane. Avoid abrupt power changes. Fly it like it's a transport category & you'll love it. Once you become comfortable flying your TCA, be careful not to fall asleep on long cross countries! Get it setup and it flies itself. Did you fly for the Navy?k

Kyron,

Welcome to the Commander Owners Group!

Beautiful aircraft! Wishing you many happy hours of flight.

Welcome to the club. I am in Carlsbad (KCRQ) if you would ever like to get together.

David

Welcome Kyron. You have a beautiful plane there. Vince and I both were hangared at Brackett for a number of years and I know firsthand how much TLC he put into that plane. You'll love it!

Thank you all for the warm welcome and wishes! I’m really looking forward to learning from you all on the forum and eventually meeting you first hand. Some of you are in SoCal so introductions may be soon. I love this bird and Vince has loved it for 25 years. I will take on the honor of keeping her in tip top shape. My mechanic and I are just staring her 2019 Annual so I’m sure I may be asking lots of questions. Thank you for your patience while I get up to speed. It seems like there is a wealth of knowledge available on the forum along with lots of resource materials. I wanted to send out a big thank you to Judi Anderson! Judi has been so generous with her time and fostered a great turnover between Vince and I. She continues to support me on this journey in a very selfless way -thanks Judi!!!
thank you all and I’ll see you on the forum or maybe at an upcoming fly-in
Mahalo, Kyron (smiling from ear to ear)
