New Owner - N1140J - KTLH

Hello everyone,

Just purchased N1140J from the Piper dealership here in KTLH. First time owner, really had never heard of the Commander 112 until a friend of mine from the local flying club put me in touch with the Piper salesman. It was a trade in for an M-350. Looks to be a great airplane in really good shape, plenty of upgraded avionics plus the IO-390/210hp engine mod.

Special thanks to this forum for assisting my mechanic at 2J9 (Quincy FL) during the pre-buy inspection and annual. He found this to be a great source of information. Also a shout out to Aerodyme who installed the engine and helped out with timely information on the aircraft.

Looking forward to some good times flying. See you around the patch.

I am just up V-97 from you near Albany (ABY) Come into TLH all the time.

I do like your tail number, when you screw up you can just change your name to Oscar Juliet.

I am s/n 155 and also have the Aspen. I am not so sure about those Beechcraft yokes that you have.

I'm just up the road in Enterprise Al, you just may be close enough to make the monthly EAA breakfasts up in Dawson, Ga 16J. Ken Andrews has a pristine 112 there and if you leave hungry its your own fault. Third Sat's of the month. Ken has also constructed his own grass strip a few miles from 16J.

Anyway, welcome to the COG and hopefully we can linkup sometime.

Mike, John and John let's all plan a South Alabama / Northwest Florida get together and of course any other Commander drivers. That'd be cool/fun.
