N4533W TAZ at BAS

TAZ N4533W is being parted out after a Gear Up landing. BAS air salvage has it at Greeley Colorado.
The Gear Up landing was at Greeley Colorado KGXY. It was a beautiful airplane. 😥

I know how Bob Tippens must feel, My first Commander N377SB end up at BAS after I had sold her. , very sad.
 
My Buddy Bob and I had a microswitch (Thank goodness) go out on us coming back from the Bahamas in November, indicating right main gear wasn’t down and/or locked and I thought my Commander might suffer the same fate that day … we flew down to the closest towered airport, did a few passes with the fire trucks out, and a blackhawk that was training on the other side and the tower all looking to see if gear looked like it was at least down …. they said it appeared to be down but locked, was still a question … and we lucked out that day and it was just the microswitch.

Really sorry to hear that happened … it certainly is a far easier thing to have happen than most people realize!
