greatplanes

New member
Just bought this plane and I am repairing, it had a nose gear collapse and damaged the prop. I am trying to get it ferryable and all I am lacking is the prop, any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks

Rather than us doing the research it would help if you post where you are, year and model.

Re: n1260j need prop

N1260J was Stanley Harms. he sent me some pics and details.
not sure about the rest of the plane to require more to fix//? and it needed a lot; P&I, panel, etc.....
But, a few of the Group may hv an old 2 blade to sell.. I'll also look thru my files and see if I know of one.

Re: n1260j need prop

James,

Lonnie will probably want to give me a good punch in the arm, but he's got an extra 2 blade setup in a crate that was freshly eddy current inspected and should be ready to bolt on.

His PM folder is full, tried contacting him yesterday ref an Air cond project I'm about to start.

Re: n1260j need prop

Lonnie has a 112 prop? N1260J is a 112 not 114.

Yes I am sorry it is a 112 and the prop I need is a HC-E2YR-1BF with 766A or 7666A blades. If anybody knows Lonnie maybe he could call me. that would be great!

Re: n1260j need prop

sent him a text to reconfirm for you it's the prop you need... or not.

Every one knows Lonnie . . .

Lonnie Steverson, been a little quiet on the net these days . .

Sorry, didn't realize there was a difference in the props per models . . .(112 vs 114)

Re: n1260j need prop

Jim,

I have a 112 prop for sale. It has the early style hub with about 1300 hrs total time. It was overhauled (I believe) with only a few hours on it since overhauled. That overhaul was many years ago and the prop has been in storage in my hangar.

Outside the blades look outstanding, but I have no idea how things look inside the hub...

If interested you can send a PM - Regards Clark

Re: n1260j need prop

I have a nice 3 blade for sale -the caveat is that it comes with the rest of the airplane.
Pictured above. Can deliver.

Re: n1260j need prop

I have a two blade off a 112.
I don't have the log book in front of me but there is one.
I have no idea what is a fair price.
It was in service when removed for a three blade.
And yes it has the spinner!

Rather than us doing the research it would help if you post where you are, year and model.

Whoever you are, it would also be helpful if you told COG why the nose gear collapsed. What fixes had not been made?

And which model Commander...

Guess we really should not have to be doing this - owner should include all pertinent info.

But here you go 75 112.

Re: n1260j need prop

I'd be interested in buying the bent prop figuring it is cheap. would make a magnificent piece of wall art for the hangar, maybe even my office! If anyone has one, or even a 3-blade that is bent, let me know.

Scott,
Be careful. It takes some very special tools and skills to straighten out a bent prop. I tried buy failed on one that I planned to hang above my garage door.
