Military Commanders !

From many years ago when I owned a 114, I remember some information about 114s used by a South American air force. Well since I have been back in Commanderland, it has bugged me that couldn't remember details or which country it was...

I have searched occasionally for information and finally got a good hit the other day, with photos... It was Honduras. If anyone has more information on military versions (Pete thought maybe the Saudis had some?) add it here for me and everyone. Perhaps this will be interesting to others in the group.


Three Rockwell Commanders were operated by the FAH (Honduaran Air Force) from about 1982-1994.

Photo of fuselages is from about 2008? Other is probably earlier when aircraft were operational.

There was the suggestion that the aircraft were later surplused to the civilian world, but I can't find any further reference to the serial numbers.

I posted a thread back in 2006 with pictures of the one I saw at Soto Cano Airbase. Some others actually posted some pictures of other aircraft in the thread. I attached the pictures I took when I saw the airplane.

No. And back then I didn't have the time to pursue with anyone. I'm sure that if anyone has contacts with the Honduran government, they could buy them cheap. Not sure what it would cost in terms of payoffs to get them released and then there is the cost to disassemble and ship.
