The Plan is for me to meet Sid at PVG (Hampton Roads Exec) by 11AM and we'd fly in. Was thinking this might be of interest to other
'Greater East Coas't COG.

If interested PM me or staffel@comcast.net

Gold Key time share offering discount / promo multiple day visit. We are at the Ocean Beach Club 34th and Atlantic. Started the time share thing 15 yrs ago when my aunt/uncle were 'only' 83, so we can visit leisurely every year 'on her schedule'. She's 97.8 now. Has Traveled to 68 countries. Been flying down to Norfolk since 1981. But now better- SID's there!!!!

The VA Military Museum has a huge collection of warbiords from WWI biplanes to WWII Spitfires and Hurricanes. When they have this airshow its the only day they let you fly into their airfield - grass 150 ft wide and about 5000 ft long. It shows as Virginia Beach Pvt on the Sectional about 15nm SE of Norfolk (ORF). I have been in the air there while a Spitfire and a Hurricane were orbiting the field! Wow.

Ian Cairns and I wanted to flyin there one very rainy Memorial Day weekend but didn't due to low ceilings and wet grass. If its sunny we can fly in. They will also offer end of day bus rides to Virginia Beach hotels.

Sounds interesting, but I've got a land-based event on the 19th. :(

Frank- Figures, but your on my radar! What about the 20th? Sid/I plan to drive over on Sunday but could consider options as he's offered me his hanger at PVG for the week. Weather permiting My plan is to Fly 'When able' during that week. Want to get 10 hrs on the new engine ASAP. In the back of my 'Flight Planning Goals' is a flight up to FRE and a hop over to ISP! After all You deserve to see my 90's panel upgrade cause its all your fault! smiles. Since Sid is now 'just a Commander hour' when I'm 'down on the tree farm (HWY) Sherman
