Heading to Vero beach.

Any recommendation on which FBO to use? Anything special to know before flying in beside NOTAM’s. Must go to places to eat or see?

Piper factory tour (reservations required). Okay, so it's Piper, but I thought the tour was still interesting when I did it a couple of years ago.

I was there about 3 years ago, at the time I parked at Treasure Coast Aviation, East end, seem to be gone now. Yes, kinda busy, I think the tower treats you reasonable as a transient aircraft. I came in VFR, called tower 15 or so NW & proceeded inbound as instructed. We did eat at the on field restaurant at least once, very fine.

Gary, you still down a Vero Beach ?

We left this morning around 9:30. Six hours fly time with a quick gas and go at Mount Pleasant SC (KLRO). It was a terrible ride north, rodeo time until north of the Chesapeake Bay.

Yup. I saw you on flight aware. I am heading there for lunch and wanted to catch up. Winds were very stiff. Glad the trip was uneventful, although bumpy.
