Been a while since the Great Lakes COG group has gotten together. Anyone up for this Sunday morning, Jakson, breakfast?

Pat, this Sunday IS April 28 !!!!!! At least on the east side of the state.

KSKY (Sandusky, OH ) had a nice restaurant but I think it is closed now.

Ahhhhhh ... Pat, I surely screwed that up! I did write THIS SUNDAY in the body though. (maybe webmaster will see this and fix it.)

nothing magic about Jackson, just good and close. Open to alternatives

It would be great to have an opportunity to meet everyone. I've not ventured very far with the new Commander. I'm tied up most of Sunday morning so depending on where and how late I'm a maybe. If not this time then hopefully the next one for sure.

KOEB Coldwater MI has a nice restaurant on the field. It opened last year and is very nice. It is a little more central than Jackson. Although Jackson is one of my favorites.
I would like to do Eagle Creek in Indy also.

If you're thinking Indy area -- I could make Greencastle's Dixie Chopper. Something intriguing about a restaurant and bar named after a lawn mower.

That place in Greencastle gets great ratings on 100dollarhamburger.com, but if I go, it has to be a shorter one. I am leaving for Australia for a month next Thursday, then it turns out I have to go to Calgary Monday ... so my time for getting ready just got halved.

But .... just heard from my mechanic. He went ahead and started my annual thinking I was not flying again for a month (my bad, not his.) He can have me done on Saturday, unless someone's emergency pops up. Rick has always dropped anything to help me when I need something done "now" so am necessarily understanding if he has to help someone else.

How about Coldwater? Someplace different but not far.

I am always buying him gifts, like a tool or something, because he does so many things he does not charge for. He is "sensitive" though ... If he does not like someone, or if they do not treat him well, he will not work on their plane.

I have always respected people who will walk away from business because they don't how someone treats them. Easy to say ... hard to do (so help me, I know.)

I just wish that I didn't have to beg him to invoice me for the work he does. I'm really happy that Scott introduced me to him. After CPAC went down I was at a loss for a knowledgeable mechanic especially close to home.

I've had trouble with some of the bigger maintenance facilities at Pontiac.
