The museum is free and you can just walk in. It has many different sections of interest that you can come and go at any time. There is also two special venues that are first come first serve at 9:00 or by special reservations obtained weeks ahead and require a government ID (State Driver’s License)or foreign Passport to get in. They are:
Presidential Gallery This includes past Presidential Aircraft and support vehicles.
R&D Gallery This includes the museum’s restoration projects. A list of projects is available on the web site.

Re: Fly In Events I would like to Attend onThursday

Pat,

I'm wondering for the Presidential tour if we are making a group reservation or do we need to make individual ones? If we are doing it on our own, I don't see any info on their web page about how to do that. I see the comments about four shuttle buses at the times but it just says first come first serve.

Thanks,
Tim

Re: Fly In Events I would like to Attend onThursday

I have contacted the museum for group reservations. That was a week ago and i am waiting for a response. I do not want to rely on what is available at the last minute. Tomorrow, I will contact the QBs in Dayton, they should have special contacts because some of them are volunteers. I will keep every one posted.
For the people that have not responded to the poll. Please respond. I am using these numbers for reservations.
The fall back is going to the main museum. It is a walk in and is very good.

Re: Fly In Events I would like to Attend onThursday

Another point about the Presidential and R&D tours. You must take a special shuttle bus to get to them. It would be best to do a special tour at 9:00 and them try to fit in a visit to the main museum after that tour. I am told, it would be hard to do both special tours in one day. I have only done the main museum for one day and onle saw a small part of it.

Hmm, I am not sure how the percentage calculations is being done on th polls. Someone needs to check the math.

Re: Fly In Events I would like to Attend onThursday

It's a multiple choice poll, at this time, 18 have participated, and the percentages add up according to how many selected each item.
