This weekend we used 4JA in assisting my A&P's son with his marriage proposal. Using large plastic sheets we cut a message 'Will U Marry Me?' and placed it just prior to the threshold of our local airport.

On the guise of payback for working on the plane, I was to take the bride to be, her mom and best friend for a local hop around our A O. On final I told them that we've had some activity in front of the runway and to help me look for anything unusual. They immediately noticed the sign and started doing the 'girl thing' grabbing and hugging each other.

<O:p<O:pTaxied to the FBO and the young lad met her with the ring and flowers all with the Commander in the background.<O:p

Re: Cool Msn

John,

Very nice!

Re: Cool Msn

Really sweet and well-done. My oldest had our bird involved in his proposal on Mackinac Island. Although with THREE women doing the "girl-thing" I'm impressed you were able to land safely. I'm guessing there is an FAR prohibiting that.

Thanks Scott, I showed them shots of your plane with your son's wedding party decked out in front.

Definitely not in compliance with the FAA's "Sterile Cockpit" rule . . .
