I haven't been on in awhile, so my apologies if someone already posted. But AOPA posted this on Instagram today! Great to see something other than a bonanza!!

I agree, what's so special about a Bonanza.....

Our Commander brought us home from the lake cabin up north! Life is good! No Bonanzas in sight!

Like the topic in the Instagram, "Where did this weekend take you?" Might make for a good Thread topic . .

Puppy Run dodging effects of Ts Barry for me. Had an approach like they use to throw at us in the simulator. Rain so heavy couldn't see the prop. Broke out about a mile on crs/gldpath to find a freshly drenched runway surrounded by manicured green SOD. (One of those aviation only moments - looked like someone had painted the field it was so clear and clean looking) Luckily the front had just cleared the field or we'd gone missed for sure due to no forward Vis . . . Rescued 12 x 10 lb er's.:)

Scott, we buzz up north to Bay Lake between Brainerd and Aitkin MN. We have been renting a hangar at KAIT ( July & August ) for the last few years, mostly for protection from T-storms. Flying up doesn’t reduce our commute time, but it’s way more fun! Only on the big holidays when you have to add an extra hour to the commute (driving) does it reduce the time in transit. The 4th of July traffic this year was brutal! We encountered
three or four other airplanes all within 8 tenths of an hour! ( sarcastically speaking )
Do you get over here to Minnesota at all?

About time to dust off the ole 'Great Lakes Fly-in' planning again . . . . (Scott/Pat??)
