Registration is now live for the annual COG fly-in. This year we'll be in Augusta Georgia and our host field is the Daniel Field Airport (DNL).

You can register here or by clicking on the link on our home page.

Should be a lot of fun and I'm looking forward to seeing everyone and a lot of nice Commanders. And if schedules or distance is a problem for you, consider grabbing an inexpensive commercial ticket to Atlanta.

Just registered! I am excited to go and meet everyone.

Re: COG 2018 Annual Fly-in Registration Now Live!

Just curious... is there any way that they would change their cancellation policy? There is 0 way I am going to prebook my room when I have to cancel by 9/17. Last year I had to call off the trip 2 days before because of the damn hurricane lol

Thanks

Sorry Jason, the no charge cancellation window is set. In the past most folks with valid reasons for cancelling past the window, like weather, have been able to work it out with the hotel.

Bob,

First timer here. I have a cousin in Augusta, I'd like to invite to the BBQ on Saturday. Just sign up for an extra lunch? Looking forward to the event! Thanks

Hi John,

Yes ... If your cousin will just be hanging out at the airport on Saturday and joining in on the luncheon then that's all you need to do.

Looking forward to meeting you!

OK so what is the schedule. I am arriving Thursday but need to decide whether that will be 8 am or 8 pm.
I have an annual between now and then. Should not be an issue as I have a fine Commander.

Life is a barrel of fun.

Ken.

Re: COG 2018 Annual Fly-in Registration Now Live!

Am I missing out somewhere on the schedule for the fly in. Trying to plan ahead but do not want to miss any of the events.

I read that in that area the drinking water may not be safe after the storm, so in an abundance of caution I am going to bring with me a 30 packs of Milwaukees Best.

The beer at the hotels brings out my allergies, my eyes swell up and begin to tear when I see the price they charge.

Life is a barrel of fun..

Always best to play it safe Ken.

Did the gas discount conversation ever go anywhere? I dont recall seeing an answer. Sorry

There is a small airport a few minutes away from DNL that has gas for 1.40 less. If there is no gas discount AND the weather plays well.... that is where I plan to go.

What airport is that? 100LL shows "cheaper fuel" either south of Atlanta or east in SC. I didn't see anything to the NW. k

Jason,

You didn't miss it ... I did not respond to the question because we didn't have an answer from the FBO.

Augusta Aviation is giving us a 40 cent per gallon discount.

I didn't beat the FBO up over the discount because typically when the hosting FBO is full service only our members can always find a lower self serve price in the area and they fuel up there.

Also, the FBO is providing other services to us at no cost ... the maintenance hangar and chair setup for our seminars, the airplane jacks and tail stands, and the conference room for the luncheon.
