Welcome to the new Commander Owners Group Forums. Please bear with us as the kinks are worked out and things are tweaked. If you have any questions or issues with the new platform, please post them here.
Yea Jeff, you'll have to go through that every time. I don't have automatic subscription, and The only way I know that my subscription is up is my access is denied. Then I have to resubscribe and I get access again.
You have to be proactive and monitor it which you can do by clicking on my profile and check when your subscription is up. That is what I did and my service has been uninterrupted. The last time it got interrupted is when I did not renew it before it expired. I think a couple of times I have been reminded but I do not expect the COG mgmt to do that.
With regard to automatic renewals I do not do that. If I did I would expect the automatic renewal to be -automatic-.
Todd - turns out the issue with renewals isn't the forums but the fact that we're on a new virtual server. The way that PP works is that renewals reference the URL of the server from the original subscription. In our case that server doesn't exist any longer. The short term solution is just to have our Treasurer Bob T. manually update the subscription. which can take a little time. The long-term solution is to cancel the old subscription from within your PayPal account then set up a new one here in the forum.
I took care of your subscription renewal just now.
Sorry about that but we haven't found anyway around this particular issue.
