Auburn and Sarasota

Planning a trip in a few weeks, with a stopover in Auburn for a college tour for the daughter, and then heading to Sarasota area. I have a couple of questions :

First, in Auburn is Uber prevalent enough fo just use them instead of a rental? We did an unexpected overnight here due to weather several years ago and Enterprise was not their usual reliable self - and with today’s post COVID rental car situation - thinking of doing Uber or Lyft...just stating one night near/on campus,

Secondly, we have a rental house in the Sarasota area for a week and interested in opinions on Retrix North or other FBOs in Sarasota ? Fees ? Clearly the avgas prices are high at all of the FBOs...I have a rental car at Enterprise at the non GA Sarasota side currently , but might even consider staying at Venice and figuring out how to get the car at Sarasota ?( rental car situation is rapidly becoming the biggest GA issue in my mind )....anyone with recent experience there ?

Can only speak for Auburn Regional and yes Uber is readily available and about as reliable as you can get in times like these. Auburn has good courtesy cars also and if you call ahead they won’t reserve but will let you know if they think they will have one. They are supposed to only be for two hours but you can extend if no one is waiting. Bring car back full and maybe buy some av fuel so they can support this.

Thanks, we need to overnight, since her tour is at 8:30 am, so we probably can't use the courtesy car. Hoping that we can use Uber, and be ok....Thanks for the help!
