Looking to do KLOU to that recommendation.

There is 99% chance Atlanta will want to reroute me around the inner circle (at least) so I am thinking going around to the West and then into a good airport just South.

Maybe 6A2? That looks nice. Cheap fuel.

Thank all.

Have flown into Fulton & Cobb both were good but not as cheap as 6A2 but had place to meet people.

OK. Thanks.

6A2 seems like a perfect pick up/refuel spot.

I will look at the others you mentioned as well.

Thanks

Jason.

what is the purpose of your flight? are you continuing South or visiting Atlanta.?

KFFC, hit Aircraft Spruce while you're there. . .

Hi Ken. How are you?

Picking up my wife's kiddos - they are coming back from Tampa via car/meeting them "around" Atlanta

So...to answer your question...I will be flying down, getting them, and then flying back to KLOU that day.

File an IFR flight plan and go straight into either kRYY or KFFC. If not IR rated then go below 4,000 ft and stay below the bravo and still land at one of these two. i would NOT go into KPDK as it is a very very very busy airport.

second FFC. Good terminal. Easy in/out. Spruce is just a bonus! k

Thanks for the suggestions.

No IFR here.

KFFC looks nice as well and much like 6A2. Gas is $.50 more there though :)

Been to all of them, but Cobb County RYY would work great for VFR. Don't have to mess with Atlanta as much.

Fair point.

I will be on flight following so that should make things a little easier.

My path pretty much takes me around any of the Class B so I don't think it will be too much of an issue. I am hoping not at least.

Thanks all.

Jason,

20GA is super friendly and fuel is cheap too. However, they are a bit west of Atlanta. If you need a rental car - Enterprise in Villa Rica was very hospitable when I was there last year.

Thanks Dean.

T Storms killed this flight plan. They were all over CHA and ATL. No real good passage that day and at the time I had to be down there.

Hi John.

I am booked to play a large outdoor festival in Knoxville on the 17th. So no dice on this one....unfortunately.

You found me :)

Like the last album?

Love it. When this post came up I was listening to "How do you shake it like that?" and I wanted you to ask your harp player, "How do you blow it like that?" That guy is as good as I have ever heard in my life! Geeeeeeeeeyaaaaaaaah. The guitar player is none-too-shabby as well. You guys ever play north of the Ohio River?

Very cool and glad you like it.

I will let Paul (harp player) know your kind words.

Shake It is a song that I got permission to record from Rick Holmstrom. Johnny Dyer wrote it and they used to do it a lot back when. Johnny is dead now but if you ever want to listen to some great blues, pick up a Johnny Dyer and Rick Holmstrom album. They made a great pair.

I am trying to think when we last played up north....if you count Indianapolis...that was last fall at the Slippery Noodle Inn. Used to play in Mishawaka (sp?) Indiana at a great old blues club. Famous place right south of Chicago.

Other than that...we stay south :D But are always up for a road trip to new places.
