I really liked the article! I hope to go to Sun and Fun one day, it sounds, well "FUN"
I just zoomed in on the panel pic and at 8500 feet, Phil is showing what looks like 8 GPH at 16.5 Inches and I assume (can't see the prop RPM) 22 or 2300 and getting a true airspeed of 130 kts. Is the B model that much cleaner? In my 79 114A at the same airspeed, but our summer 12C at altitude, I burn 10.5 and get about 120-122 kts with 16-18 inches and 2200 rpm which is what the book shows.
Either way, thanks to Phil for the article and to Judi for reposting it!
