Hit Sun n Fun late Friday morning, secured the plane and set-up the tent / area. Nice lady in a van was waiting to ‘assist’ with our camping permit and daily armband tickets for the show.

Work buddy who’s Slowdowner was down with an alternator problem rode down with me. He also volunteers at the “Type Tent” with the Beechcraft table spreading the word and answering questions ref the Beechcrafts. Nothing fancy but it is out of the sun. Anyway when I went to link-up with him for dinner he gave me an ‘I got you covered’ smile and nod.

The Beech volunteers were shutting down their table and going out for dinner and invited me along. In seven years attending Sun n Fun I’d never been off the Lakeland airport proper so I jumped at the chance to NOT have to eat a warm, overpriced, stale hotdog at the Sun n Fun Tiki Bar / buffet line.

Long story short;
The Beech folks took me in to include the tab at the bar and dinner and made me feel VERY at home. I’d hope we (COG) would do the same . . .

I was at SUNnFUN from Tuesday until Thursday. A lot of fun.

That's how the BAC family rolls.... ;)

I see Jeff in the background our Beech Aero Club VP, and other familiar faces. Even though I am in the process of purchasing a 112A I will always be involved with BAC. Great organization and life long friends. I kept my membership even after we sold our Sundowner and purchased a Debonair. It was fun being involved and on the board as the mid-Atlantic director. I'm looking forward to meeting people involved with COG and attending fly-ins.
