A return to Wilkes-Barre, PA. Finally back to the Valley.
It was a fun flight each way, three hours round trip flying vs eight hours driving round trip. Thank you general aviation. Mary and I had a fun day of flying with a short ground stop to take care of some family stuff. My annual trek to Wilkes-Barre is to take care of my parents grave.
The folks at Aviation Technologies, INC., (The FBO) did a great job. Always friendly service, and a courtesy car to make the short drive. I am two approaches short for my currency so I had to do the VFR pilot deal and look for holes to climb above and then descend through. It's good to dust off those skills and use them, and flight following for the trip is always a plus.
