Hello all
Not many Commander owners near me, Rolf I think your closest, but figured post anyway if someone is looking for something to do this coming weekend. This year the Watford City Airport - S25 (Watford City North Dakota) is hosting my Poker-Run during their Fly-In June 22. This is 1st year I’m doing it at another airport. When started this plan was to move around to expose to new people, make easier for new participants to do Poker-Run or even just attend and check it out. Have lots of door prizes, my goal is to give around 35% of participants and fly-In attendees a prize (which winners pick from prize pool) and good food as that was my criteria for event, buy people’s participation, feed them well (not just a hot dog, hamburger or pancake, but a meal and especially get people out flying and hope they enjoy and plan to do it again next year. I’m attaching flyer and more info, rules, player cards etc can be found on ND Aeronautics Events link below.
I accept any airport stops with proof of stop, selfie or fuel receipt etc, I haven’t advertised outside of ND, SD and MT so far that’s why just lists them currently, but as said I will count any airport, goal is just to get people out flying doesn’t matter what they fly or where come from or where go, just fly and stop at a few airports. Of course your home airport and S25 count as stops, more stops do the more cards you and your passengers are delt at S25 during poker play. I Divide people into 4 games, event is completely free to participate, S25 has said they will put a free Will offering at food line and will give that money for next years event to help with its food expenses for event. One year was smoked Pulled Pork, sides and desert last year I had a BBQ Rib and chicken thigh cook off. Hope to maybe if not this year see some of you participate in the future.
