Well everyone, now is the season for my annual cookout. This year due to Easter and other events I decided to have the cookout on the 7th of April, the weekend before Sun-In-Fun. I figured maybe catch of few people flying down to Sun-In-Fun.
Anyway I will be providing everything Hamburgers, Hotdogs, Some type of salad Potato/Broccoli, Chips, desert, drinks etc. Menu is not totally finalized. Twila likes to experiment with new dishes.
Last year we had about 40 aircraft come in from all over and about 120 people. I think a lot of that was due to beautiful weather to fly that day too.
What is new to this event for us Commanders anyway, I have tentative approval to use one of the big hangers for a Southeast Commanders Maintenance Day. The hanger can hold about 4 or 5 aircraft for whoever wants to use it to share maintenance practices. The only issue is I will not be able to do much organizing on this. My focus would be on the cookout. I do have tools, jacks etc. that can be used. I will be talking to my A/I to see if he can attend as well.
If there is anyone willing to help with the maintenance part, it would be most helpful.
More info will follow and I hope you can all show!!!
