    Re: 2010 cog fly-in location Good point, Jay, about flying approaches to Stennis and either landing or flying VFR to Diamondhead. I'm not convinced about flying below 500ft between the airports if the weather is much below that, but one could just put down at Stennis if it came to that...

    Re: 2010 cog fly-in location Thank heavens we're staying south this time -- it's a shame, but Boyne was just too wet and cold! Maybe we should try to limit ourselves to airports with fuel and instrument approaches, just to keep everyone safe. I agree Jekyll Island is nice and very reasonable...

    Re: The "8 Knot Mod" Jim, Just flew quite a bit the past weeks, with different loadings and different altitudes, but all cases looked just like the photos shown in the thread. My typical trim is about 2-3 nose down in a 145KTAS cruise. I will do a photo and record details the next time I fly.
