    New Member from Oklahoma

Re: New Member from Oklahoma JD- I've got a question for you. Spent practically an entire summer of weekends trimming your new plastic pieces for my interior refurb. Wore out two dremels (because I buy the cheap ones). Why can't you just finish them at the factory? k

    stopped at Bethany, OK today

Re: stopped at Bethany, OK today I don't think he even realized the significance of what I was said. Too busy trying to type me in his computer. The reaction from several obviously senior exec types in the room was priceless. Funny I wasn't "in the system" I had been to Atlantic twice this...

    stopped at Bethany, OK today

Dropped a pax at Wiley Post (Atlantic) this afternoon. Walked in the fancy customer lounge where important people were waiting to board their rented kerosene mounts. After finishing a phone call to get my pax a ride -- the guy at the counter announced that my airplane "wasn't in the...

    Jackson Sunday May 28???

Re: Jackson Sunday May 28??? If you're thinking Indy area -- I could make Greencastle's Dixie Chopper. Something intriguing about a restaurant and bar named after a lawn mower. k

    Whoo Hooo: Crosswinds!

Re: Whoo Hooo: Crosswinds! Maybe not hard enough. I get a diving oscillation just before Vr when the wings are alive but still steering with nosewheel. Had to fly it off and hold it in ground effect to save it. I'll try down trim. Aileron-rudder interconnect is getting the best of me. k

    Whoo Hooo: Crosswinds!

Re: Whoo Hooo: Crosswinds! That's been tough for me too. I've had closer calls with Directional control on cross-wind takeoffs than landing. When I hold it on the ground, the nosewheel steering gets very touchy. Not pretty. k

    Cabin Door Hinges

Re: Cabin Door Hinges Carl - I LOVE my gas struts! But long taxiing in hot weather like I had today is a PITA. Have to keep one hand on the armrest to prevent the door from opening completely. I've even given some thought to inventing some type of "door holder" to keep the door open a...

Re: Fuel & Oil lines - WELL NUT Re: Fuel & Oil lines - WELL NUT Michael - I did the same thing and paid to have well nuts shipped in. Was at my local farm supply hardware section a few days later looking for something else and -- a whole selection of them next door to my business! Sometimes...

    Elevator Inoculation

Re: Elevator Inoculation Thanks Jim! Your timing is impeccable. Dale was asking me whether to put mine together before we got them. I was hoping your announcement was forthcoming. My wife thanks you too. Those pesky elevators were messing with her vacation plan! k

    Roush Wreck

Re: Roush Wreck Avweb had ths exchange w/ ATC posted that day. Sounds like Jack questioned the spacing but "went along".... (my take) Audio posted to LiveATC.net may include the exchange between OSH controllers and Roush. If accurate, the jet is misidentified in the exchange as "six sierra"...
