Re: Grand Oaks Airfield Fly-Out... Ok, I would call ahead. There are 2 FBO's at Nashville. Signature and Atlantic. There landing fees are about $45, But if memory serves me right they also tack on a service charge. I think for Signature it was going to cost me around $60. Not sure what...

Re: Grand Oaks Airfield Fly-Out... You guys going into KBNA Nashville, John Tune (JWN) has no landing fees, Cheeper gas and about 25 min from KBNA if you have hotels there. Most of us local guys go there when going to Nashville.

Re: Heading for Salem Oregon Yea, I didn't do it on this take off. It helps, but not sure how much. One thing that helped here.... I was at sea level... :)

Re: Heading for Salem Oregon Thanks... I go full power on my turn that helps. Another thing that helps a "little" is keep the flaps up until close to take off speed, then go 20% down flaps. About 45Gal of fuel on board and 2 people 420lbs.
