    2012

Re: 2012 What about location? Central? Ideas? Might get a great turnout in the middle. Maybe CGI! We could all park around the old CPAC hanger and block the city's access. Then, perhaps load all Commanders with spare parts and fly away... Oklahoma City? Historic from the Commander...

    114 Hot Shot

Re: 114 Hot Shot I know my previous 114, N4809W/SN14129, was converted in the 90's... It's the one listed above by Neal... She looks a lot better than when I had her. Tim Jordan, a Dr. in Socal, shows as the current owner and was based at Camarillo, which might be how he discovered the STC...

    In and out of Mexico

Re: In and out of Mexico Here's AOPA Mexico link: http://www.aopa.org/members/pic/intl/mexico/ Just thinking about the details... I'm pretty much with Joel; don't think I want to jump throught the hoops, going or coming. Alan

    In and out of Mexico

Re: In and out of Mexico OK, you're close, but not all there... I expect your FCC operators permit is also required, so hold on to it. It doesn't expire; mine is dated 1969. But I was referring to the FCC Aircraft Radio Station License; different. It is an aircraft document. Not positive...

    In and out of Mexico

Re: In and out of Mexico Scott, Haven't seen this metioned here, but I believe your aircraft must have an FCC Radio Station License to fly Internationally... ie. Mexico. They haven't been required domestically for many years, so most of us don't have them. Check it out before you go, if you...

    New Website

Re: New Website Carl, The PayPal link isn't working either... Tried to order "big bucks", but denied! (Problem with vendors site!) You should fix that! Seriously, I like your new discount package for lights and door stays, so will get back to you soon. Alan

Trip to Tucson from Chicago Area

Re: Trip to Tucson from Chicago Area Look at KLOT --> El Paso --> KTUS . Keeps you away from mountains and resticted airspace in NM. Only adds about 45 min - 1hr over direct. Best fuel prices are in KS, OK and N TX ... There are 2 Commanders at Marana, KAVQ, north of TUS (Jack...

    N1316J batplane new aircraft owner

Re: N1316J batplane new aircraft owner OK, now we need to know why you call it the "Bat Plane"? Previously owned by Batman? Painted like a batmobile? Delivered bats to Major league ball games? Just curious... BTW: Welcome.

    2011 Sedona Fly-In News

Re: 2011 Sedona Fly-In News Did a short SEZ pre-flyin check-out yesterday... Actually, just stopped to visit my old Bonanza mechanic who now works for a helicopter outfit there. Seemed like a good excuse. Locals say the restaurant is not open yet and they're not sure that it will be open by...

    Commander World here I come!

Re: Commander World here I come! Bruno, Don't know the current status of your aircraft, but if it's airworthy and flyable, try to keep your projects small and well defined... Don't tear everything apart; it's really hard to get it back together. Several members here advised just that. Easy...

    Commander World here I come!

Re: Commander World here I come! Bruno, Search the ADs on the FAA website, also. Airframe is listed under: CPAC, Inc. Remember to search your Hartzell prop and Lycoming engine, too. http://rgl.faa.gov/Regulatory_and_Guidance_Library/rgAD.nsf/MainFrame?OpenFrameSet Alan

    Commander World here I come!

Re: Commander World here I come! Bruno, You're not crazy, you're just like us... Impetuous, daring, spontaneous, and classy. Tell us where you're located. There are probably members close by for support. Welcome, Alan

    Elevator Inoculation

Re: Elevator Inoculation As Joel mentiond before, there was definately a hint that only certain shops were approved! I think the ICT FSDO which controls the AD has, in fact, made that assertion. So, are they in charge or not? Would be nice for members needing elevator repair to know what's...

    Gas Spring Door Stays

Re: Gas Spring Door Stays Carl, There are some out here (me!) who would like to purchase ALL your items! Any chance you could "bundle" the door stays kit and your leg lights kit (unpainted) at a somewhat lower total price? Perhaps 1 AMU for both kits; of course, purchased together? Think about...

    Mohave Spaceport - MHV

Re: Mohave Spaceport - MHV Here's a couple of ideas for a quick or maybe longer fix! Your Narco AT-50 is tray and antenna comptable with the Narco AT-150 and AT-155... Also Narcos new digital AT-165 slides right in, so some options short of total rewire... Many used and overhauled units...
