Hi Scott. Just read your message albeit a year later. Sorry but I have not logged on to the Commander site in a long time. Yes I am hangared at the Landings at KPIE hangar 4E. Are you at KPIE too? I know of only 2 Commanders at KPIE mine and one other. My plane 114B is currently in LAL for...

    Taking the bride to breakfast

Joe. I bought Robotow tug earlier this year and it works awesome on my 114B. I have a slight incline into hangar and it handles it like a breeze. Speed and direction easily controlled. It uses a 28volt Milwaukee tool battery (included with charger) hooks to the nose gear plate with their...

    Sun N Fun 2022

Hi Rolf. I’ve been in FL now for 1.5 years KPIE, and I have not seen any Grizzly Bears yet. But the pythons on the other hand are another story and getting closer to Lakeland everyday. Yikes. So no camping for me. Not to mention it is hot as hell with no A/C.

    2022 Fly-In?

I vote for Lake Havasu City, AZ. London Bridge, Colorado River, Casino, Reasonably priced, plenty of hotels, nice long runway and not to high 783’ elevation. Those wanting to fly to Palm Springs or Henderson can from there in 40 mins.

Hi Glenn. Sorry for the late response. Moved from CA to FL and have been super busy and just renewed my membership since being dormant for 4 months. If the shop is still looking for the fuel flow gauge I can verify if I still have one, however, if my aging memory serves me correctly I had sold...

New to COG and new owner of N4637w

Hi Kyron and Welcome. I am just up the highway from you in Fullerton. Vince had an envious plane that was admired here by many and had won several shiny awards at our yearly fly-in. Our Fly-in is mid-September this year in the hill country of Texas. Hope you can join us and let us know if you...

    I’m back!

Re: I’m back. 😁😁 Re: I’m back. 😁😁 Looks like the JPI engine monitor is a EDM830 and not a EDM760, which makes it better than advertised, but begs the question as to why the Seller doesn't know what is in the plane? Looks nice and is reasonably priced IMO in today's market. Definitely get a...

    New Commander 114B Owner

Re: New Commander 114B Owner Welcome Stephen. I am with you, as I upgraded my 114B panel last year with a GTN750, GTX345R, Aspen Evolution Pro 1000 and Flightstream 200. I love it. In the next year or so I plan to eliminate the vacuum system and have all glass electric back-up. Reach out if...

KSNH Savannah TN to KSLE Salem OR

Re: KSNH Savannah TN to KSLE Salem OR Yucca Valley L22 is a good stop in the Palms Springs area. No ramp fees, has a restaurant and the fuel is cheaper. You ,at also want to consider Big Bear City L35 atop Big Bear Mountain, cheapest fuel, great restaurant and hotels nearby. Harris Ranch is...

KSNH Savannah TN to KSLE Salem OR

Re: KSNH Savannah TN to KSLE Salem OR. Re: KSNH Savannah TN to KSLE Salem OR. Michael If you decide on the Southern route, I recommend not landing at KLAS. But if you must go to Las Vegas use Henderson or N. Las Vegas instead. The reasons are: there is a landing fee at KLAS, fuel and FBO...

    Interested in Commander 114

Re: Interested in Commander 114 Hi Richard. Welcome to Commanderland. Do not be shy and ask ...ask...ask. As the saying goes no question is a dumb question. When I purchased my 114B 4 years back, I had many questions and still do to this day. The knowledge you gain from this site is tremendous...

2018 KSNH Savannah TN Annual Cookout 4/7/18

Re: 2018 KSNH Savannah TN Annual Cookout 4/7/18 Mike Appreciate the invite and the bourbon bribery is certainly a nice touch and very tempting. If I were retired I would be there in a second. 2 more years and I am there. I love me some Southern Hospitality. My daughter attends the University...

    Bahamas...let's plan it

Re: Bahamas...let's plan it John can't you just rent a raft and required survival supplies, and return it unused when you return? Seems more economicable than buying it. Bahamas would be awesome, but would have to be at the right time hence I would be coming from the West Coast. Along with...

Costa Rica to 1WA6 (WA) July

Re: Costa Rica to 1WA6 (WA) July Hi Gonzalo Wow that trip is exciting. I live in both Southern California and Arizona. So I can only comment on your Yuma to Mohave leg. Please note that there is a lot of Restricted Airspace along that route, as well as high mountains (Big Bear) and rugged...

    California Stops Questionnaire

Re: California Stops Questionnaire Tyler Oceano (L52) should definitely be on your list. They have camping (on-airport) hotels, restaurant and ocean all within walking distance. Also there are free bicycles to use in the storage shed. The Pismo Beach sand dunes are there so you can rent ATVs to...
