Hi Phil, do you have any of the knobs left that you previously made? I’m looking for the one you had that was labeled “Propeller Knob, Mixture Knob and Non TOGA button Throttle Knob Set $155.00” that was in an old post. Thanks

    O .. M .. G ...

In my younger days I was a jump master with several hundred jumps. I remember jumping out of a king air at the world free fall convention and the pilot would go into a steep dive after we got out at 14,500’ and you could see him dropping at the same speed or faster than we would. Belly down...

    unfortunate sighting

I assume a nose gear collapse on landing. At least from this angle it doesn’t look like too much body damage. Hopefully it will be flying again soon with a new engine courtesy of the insurance company due to a prop strike.

The Last Fighter Pilot of WWII

That generation was truly amazing. I fear that if Pearl Harbor happened in today’s world, we would all need to learn to speak Japanese or German.

    112 Hot Shot

Carl, if you ever get a 114 hot shot system available, I would be interested.

Tragic, fatal, accident -- way too close to home

Neil, we must know similar A&Ps. I know of one who not only flies instrument approaches without an IFR ticket, but also self taught himself to do aerobatics. Is risk taking part of A&P training?

    French Lick Sept 18-20 - 2020 Unofficial

I know that this is not an “official“ fly in, but is there any sort of itinerary about the weekend? Dinners, group activities, etc.

    French Lick Sept 18-20 - 2020 Unofficial

Since I’m only a 1/2 hr flight from French Lick, I’ll probably come for dinner, but likely head home afterwards and not stay the whole weekend.

    New Commander 114 owner

I’m hoping that some of his magic rubbed off on the yoke to help us mere mortal pilots!

    New Commander 114 owner

I have a friend at my home airport that has a nice 112. That’s how I got interested in Commanders.

    New Commander 114 owner

I was already ready to buy it, but when I found out that this was the Hoover 114 from the old video, I knew that I had to have it! The logbook entries showing the FAA temporarily reclassifying it as experimental so that Bob Hoover could fly aerobatics in it are a piece of history.
