    Drone solution?

Re: Drone solution? Scott, Unfortunately a CO2 gun does not have enough "zip". Some of the German made pump pellet guns would work. Need to develop about 1100 FPS to do the job.

2015 Best of the Best $100 Hamburger Awards

Re: 2015 Best of the Best $100 Hamburger Awards Purner is very good about responding. I also queried him about the Waypoint Cafe not being on the list. I would rate it one of the "best in the west" and if you have seen the gals that work there...all I have to say is HOLY COW!

Trip planning from TN (KSNH), MT (KRED), OR (KSLE)

Re: Trip planning from TN (KSNH), MT (KRED), OR (KSLE) Mike, I'm not sure what The IA did; however, it sounded like it was a shielding issue. I could be wrong, I will ask him.

Trip planning from TN (KSNH), MT (KRED), OR (KSLE)

Re: Trip planning from TN (KSNH), MT (KRED), OR (KSLE) It may be that at altitude signals will be weaker. I noticed in my case that when I listened to guys in the tower the static was not bad. When flying and talking to center or TRACON the static was a lot worse.

Trip planning from TN (KSNH), MT (KRED), OR (KSLE)

Re: Trip planning from TN (KSNH), MT (KRED), OR (KSLE) Just dealt with that problem and the "P" leads from the magneto were the culprit. If I tuned into a very weak signal, the static became very bad. I tested it on the ground and it seemed to coincide with engine RPM.

As I was going into the restaurant a gentleman was holding the gate open for me. It turned out to be Harrison Ford. He was with two other friends...

Why we must turn off electronics

Re: Why we must turn of electronics Re: Why we must turn of electronics I heard an interesting story...can't remember from where that the no cell phone rule was more an FCC issue than an FAA one. Too many people talking on cell phones in a speeding jet "confuse" the cell towers! I'm with Scott...
