Re: Photo shoot over the North Cascade Range Brian how far away from Mt. Baker were you as that is some wild country around there.

    Bellingham (KBLI)

Re: Bellingham (KBLI) Neal I have never stayed overnight when I do claims up there as I am only on the ground about 3 hours or so but I have used Command Aviation and they were very helpful. BAS probably just as helpful. If needed, I am sure either one will arrange rental cars. I would...

Re: The fun begins! New owner as of today I think all the 112's ended in W. They did not want Slo so they just used the last letter.

    Up set turbulence? Ouch

Re: Up set turbulence? Ouch Tim at Pearson I only saw one airplane take off - it was bad for sure. Not a chance I was going to fly.

    Up set turbulence? Ouch

Re: Up set turbulence? Ouch My personal minimums is 2000ft AGL over any of the smaller mountain ranges we have and 3000ft AGL over the rockies. The Cascades can get nasty for sure. Been side to side but not a mega nose down attitude.

    Up set turbulence? Ouch

Re: Up set turbulence? Ouch Man oh man Brian we had 30 knots and Portland had 40 knots gusting to some number I cant remember. I was going to fly to Bend today but I would have had to cross the Cascades and the wind was out of the East so there was not a chance I was going to go. Bend wx was...

Sad day at my airport - Camas WA

Re: Sad day at my airport - Camas WA No new rules at Pearson. Yet. We have 2 rows of wooden framed hangars the rest are all fairly new and metal with concrete block firewalls in the middle of each row of hangars.

Sad day at my airport - Camas WA

Re: Sad day at my airport - Camas WA I too got a call from a friend that wanted to know if I knew any pilots from Camas to give them a heads up on the fire. Isn't the fire station right next door?

    Gear Checkvalve

Re: Gear Checkvalve Thanks - as I think I had pressure switch on the brain for some reason. Is the check valve mainly for the 112's and/or does the 114 already have one?

    Gear Checkvalve

Re: Gear Checkvalve A bit of clarification. You reference the 112's but not the 114 as much. I thought mine already had the pressure switch. Or does it? If it doesn't put me down for one. It was asked earlier but not answered. If there is a kit how much will the kit be?

    Safety Alert

Re: Safety Alert From the above seems you have found plausible reason. In order for us to check ours - can you explain the interference that you found?

    Safety Alert

Re: Safety Alert Jim - can you describe that in pilot language? Is this the first time it has happened on a Commander? Also maybe Judi - if she knows which airplane it is can shed some light on history. There has to be more to the story. The break in the second picture appeared to be new...

FAA & BMI: MUCH AD0-doo about nothing

Re: FAA & BMI: MUCH AD0-doo about nothing A friend of mine airplane is grounded. He sent in the paperwork but due to the backlog it has not been processed. Folks can spin it anyway they want to suit their idea of acceptance but the fact is planes are grounded and just because AOPA is not...

Potentially a Big Deal (Shell 100 No Lead)

Re: Potentially a Big Deal (Shell 100 No Lead) I hope it is a lot less than that. An airport close to me is $5.55 and has been that price for many months. TX and some of the southern states have better prices than what I pay.
