    South Central Fly-in

Re: South Central Fly-in Hate to hear it Craig. I'm holding off judgment until tomorrow sometime. The weather in Texas is so squirrelly that it could be sunny and 60 Friday & Saturday despite what the forecast calls for.... hope so anyway.

    South Central Fly-in

Re: South Central Fly-in The 18th at T82 is the plan. It looks like the big bash for the Winter Karnival is the evening of the 18th at the hanger hotel. Details for this can be found here: http://www.karnevalfasching.com/ It doesn't sound like the airport is going to be the focal point...

Re: South Central Fly-in German Mardi Gras.... Ian, you are from New Orleans, how will this work? Do we bring beads? I can make a float out of 297J but I'll need to recruit some cute German girls in Dirndls who can ride on the wings. Sounds like a great time / place for a fly in, should be...

Re: South Central Fly-in OK then... Fredricksburg on Feb. 18th. That gives everyone a little over a month to plan ahead so I hope we get a good turnout. If we can start getting confirmations, I'll keep a running list so we can see where we stand as we get close. I'm in.

    South Central Fly-in

Re: South Central Fly-in It looks like Fredricksburg with 11 votes cast. I really thought we could get more interest with all the Commanders in and around this area. I guess we'll leve the poll open for another 24 hours and then work out the date.

    South Central Fly-in

Re: South Central Fly-in Gastons would be incredible... but probably not in February. They are just far enough north that the weather is more unpredictable than down here on the plains.

    New Website

Re: New Website Carl, You could continue to work on the new products as Lonnie suggests but instead of shipping everything UPS, simply load it in 1144J and hand deliver everything. That way, you keep working, and get some airtime in.

    South Central Fly-in

Re: South Central Fly-in 4F2 by itself is pretty sparce... no big banquet rooms or such but, we would be able to use the terminal if the weather is cold (could easly seat 30 +) and if it's nice, there are several hangers that I can get use of with plenty of chairs, tables, TV's, music, etc...

    South Central Fly-in

Re: South Central Fly-in Sounds like we have some enthusiasim! Great. February should give us enough time to make plans.... I guess first up is the venue. My offer to host here at 4F2 is open and I suppose I can fly around the pattern and land so I can be counted as flying in :) It would...

    South Central Fly-in

Re: South Central Fly-in How about here in Carthage? 4F2. I've got some friends here that just love to BBQ out at the airport and It doesn't get much more central than East Texas. Then maybe even Lonnie won't feel left out and we should be able to pull from most of Texas, (1 hour from...

    South Central Fly-in

Well Floriday is doing such a bang up job for their get-together tomorrow I think we need to see how well we can do with some Texas / Louisiana / Arkansas drivers. Lets see about putting together a fly-in in our neck of the woods... Any Thoughts? Suggestions?

Re: New Website Carl, Great to see the website up. I have the main gear lights and door stays... next I guess may be the hot shot. Is that something you install or is it simply a kit for my mechanic?
